Health care in Senegal is at a good level, especially in Dakar and other developed urban areas. Senegal has both a public and a private health care system.
Foreigners from visa-free countries can enter Senegal for treatment without additional visas, provided that their stay does not exceed 90 days. If a foreigner goes to Senegal for long-term treatment (more than three months), he/she should apply for a temporary residence permit.
Foreigners traveling to Senegal on a visa must obtain a visa for treatment abroad.

Where to apply for a Senegal visa?
You can apply for a Senegal visa at visa centers, embassies, or consulates, depending on which ones accept visa applications in your country of residence. If there is none in your country, you need to contact the nearest embassy or consulate at your address.
Please note that when crossing the border, border guards may request an invitation from the clinic or medical institution where you will be treated. An invitation (certificate) from a medical institution should be obtained before crossing the border.
