• Minimum coverage of $50,000 for medical expenses, including emergencies and hospitalization.
Ensure you have proof of your insurance policy, either printed or digital, as it may be checked upon arrival.
A transit visa to Argentina is issued to foreigners who enter the territory of Argentina to enter a third country. A transit visa to Argentina is valid for 10 days. In exceptional cases, the visa can be extended at the Migration Center of Argentina. Travelers who transfer at an Argentine airport but do not leave the transit area, and their stay is less than 12 hours, do not need a transit visa.
The visa fee for a transit visa is 40 euros.
- If you want to bring a cat or dog to Argentina, they must be vaccinated against rabies between 30 days and 12 months before arrival. An accredited veterinarian from your country must also complete the Certificado Veterinario de la Argentina (Veterinary Certificate of Argentina) and attach a copy of the rabies vaccine certificate.
- In case the animal is imported for commercial purposes, these certificates must also be submitted to the Argentine consulate in your country of residence for legalization (personal pets do not require such approval).
- Airlines must notify airport authorities in Argentina of the animal's arrival at least 24 hours in advance to ensure a veterinarian is present when the animal arrives.
- Other pets (birds, invertebrates, tropical fish, reptiles, amphibians and mammals such as rodents and rabbits) do not need rabies certificates, but must meet other requirements and have a health certificate.

To drive in Argentina, you will need a valid driver's license from your country. It is not necessary to obtain an international driver's license. You will also need to have a vehicle registration document and proof of insurance.
