1. Microchip for pets

5. Import permit
An import permit is not required when entering Sudan with your own pet.
6. Treatment from ticks and tapeworms
Treatment for ticks and tapeworms is not required before entering Sudan, but is recommended due to the unavailability of these drugs in the country.
7. Entry into Sudan by air
Pets must enter Sudan through Khartoum International Airport. Pets can be imported as checked baggage or air cargo.
When traveling to a foreign country such as Sudan, it is always recommended to carry an ID document proving ownership of the animal.
All domestic dogs and cats must be free of signs of human-transmissible disease upon inspection at the airport of entry. If your dog or cat is clearly unwell, further examination by a licensed veterinarian may be required at your expense.
8. Other animals
Birds, invertebrates, tropical fish, reptiles, amphibians, mammals such as rodents and rabbits are not required to be vaccinated against rabies, but may meet other requirements and must have a health certificate to enter Sudan. 9. CITES
If your pet is not a dog, cat or ferret, and especially if it is a turtle or parrot, you should make sure that it is not protected by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
