After seven years of continuous conflict, the health system across the country has been severely weakened. About half of the country's health facilities are closed, and many functioning centers have very limited facilities.

In Yemen, the majority of the population does not have access to health care due to the destruction of health facilities in their areas or lack of financial resources. The availability of health workers in health facilities largely depends on the incentives offered by humanitarian organizations to support health services for the population. Any new health crisis adds an even greater burden to already overloaded and insufficiently modern health facilities.

Medical care in the country is paid. All foreigners who are entering the territory of this country are required to have a health insurance policy that guarantees compensation for possible expenses for the services of a doctor (consultation, treatment, hospitalization), medicines, transportation of the victim to a medical institution and his repatriation. It is strongly recommended to apply for full international health insurance.

Your insurance policy must meet the following requirements:

• have a validity period that covers the entire period of travel abroad;
• have a minimum coverage of at least 30,000 euros;
• mustn’t contain deductibles.
