Kyrgyzstan is a Central Asian state, which is located in the middle of the Tien Shan mountain system and the Pamir-Alai. The country is neighbors with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and China. More than half of the territory of the state is located at altitudes from one to three kilometers and about a third – at altitudes from three to four kilometers. The climate in Kyrgyzstan is sharply continental, the average temperature in summer reaches +27°С, and in winter - 8°С.

Many tourists tend to get to the picturesque shores of Lake Issyk-Kul which is called the pearl of Kyrgyzstan. There is a rare combination of sea and mountain climate here. In Kyrgyzstan, there is a fairly high rate of drug-resistant tuberculosis. This is a serious threat to human health and safety. The sanitary and epidemiological situation in terms of infectious and parasitic diseases in Kyrgyzstan is stable. In addition to tuberculosis, typical diseases in the country are intestinal infections, viral hepatitis A, brucellosis, salmonellosis, and echinococcosis.
