Visa-free regime

Citizens of 70 countries can visit Venezuela without a visa. These include all citizens of the European Union, New Zealand, Mexico, Brazil, the Caribbean, South Africa, Qatar, Japan, etc.

Tourists can stay in the country for up to 90 days.

- foreign passport that is valid for at least 6 months after entering the country;

- confirmation of the availability of a sufficient amount of funds to pay for the stay in the country;

- tour route and/or hotel reservation;

- return ticket;

- health insurance policy that covers the cost of Covid treatment and other insured events. The minimum amount is $30,000.

Visa

Visa must be issued before traveling at one of the diplomatic missions of Venezuela in the country of residence.

Importantly! It is impossible to issue a visa at the airport in Venezuela.

Documents can be submitted to the consular section of the Venezuelan embassy in person or through a proxy. The deadline for issuing a tourist and transit visa is 10-15 days after submitting the documents. A tourist visa is issued for one year, is multiple-entry and allows you to stay in the country for up to 90 days.

The consular fee is $40.

- a foreign passport, the validity of which must be at least six months;

- a certificate from the place of work, which indicates the position, salary, period of work in the company, a copy of the company's registration certificate;

- an invitation (if available), which must include the name, phone number, copy of the identity card and address of the person/company inviting;

- bank account statement indicating the account opening date, account number and balance (minimum amount $1,500);

- documents confirming the existence of real estate, commercial, trade, industrial property;

- photocopy of the internal passport with personal data;

- two color photographs of passport size;

- health insurance policy (minimum amount of $30,000);

- an original and a copy of a round-trip air ticket or an air ticket reservation, which must include the name of the airline, the number and dates of the flights.

Transit visa to Venezuela

Transit is allowed for citizens of countries with visa-free status or with a transit visa. A transit visa is issued for one year, is multiple-entry and allows you to stay in the country for no more than 72 hours for each entry.

Quarantine restrictions due to the COVID-19 epidemic

From December 31, 2022, Venezuela canceled all quarantine restrictions that were introduced in connection with the COVID-19 epidemic.
