La Pelosa, Sardinia
One of the most famous beaches in Italy, often making it into world rankings. Soft white sand, shallow water and incredible shades of the sea make La Pelosa look like the Caribbean. Nearby are the Asinara archipelago and the colorful town of Stintino.
Important! During high season, restrictions on the number of visitors apply.
Favignana, Sicily
The largest island of the Egadi archipelago off the coast of Sicily. There is over 30 km of coastline: from the rocky Cala Rossa to the spacious sandy Lido Burrone. An ideal choice for those who want a variety of beaches in one place.
Cala Goloritze, Sardinia
A hidden cove in the Gulf of Orosei, accessible only by boat or foot. A UNESCO World Heritage Site with crystal clear water, a natural stone arch and dramatic cliffs, this is a dream for wildlife lovers.
Fontane Bianche, Sicily
A small resort town near Syracuse with a three-kilometer beach. The uniqueness of the place is the fresh springs that spring directly from the seabed, making the water surprisingly clean and cool even in the heat.
San Fruttuoso, Liguria
A beach that can only be reached on foot or by sea. In addition to the picturesque bay, this place is famous among divers - at the bottom of the sea there is a bronze statue of Christ from the Abyss.
San Vito lo Capo, Sicily
A wide sandy beach with a gentle entrance to the sea, surrounded by mountains. The water here is usually calm, and the town itself is decorated with a historical sanctuary from the 15th century.
Sperlonga, Lazio
Just two hours from Rome, you’re on a picturesque coastline with views of the ruins of Emperor Tiberius’ villa and a natural grotto. A great combination of history and beach relaxation.
Castiglione di Ravello, Campania
A beach on the Amalfi Coast that’s a steep descent down. But the reward is the azure sea, cliffs and the atmosphere of the Italian dolce vita.
Cala Violina, Tuscany
A crescent-shaped bay in the Banditi di Scarlino Nature Reserve. Legend has it that the sand “sounds” when you walk on it.
Important! There are restrictions on the number of visitors during the summer season.
La Feniglia, Tuscany
A seven-kilometer beach in the pine forest of the Maremma Nature Reserve. White sand, clear water and complete harmony with nature.
Palinuro, Campania
The less touristy but extremely picturesque Cilento region with its grottoes, cliffs and clear sea is ideal for those avoiding the crowds.
Spiaggia Nera, Maratea, Basilicata
An unusual black beach with volcanic rocks that retain heat longer. Nearby are legendary caves and almost untouched nature.
Scalea, Calabria
Spacious beaches, crystal clear water and vibrant local cuisine. The best time to go is May, June or September to avoid the August tourist rush.
Spiaggia di Pescoluse, Puglia
Known as the “Maldives of Salento” due to its clear water and light sand. Located near Santa Maria di Leuca, at the very “heel” of the Italian boot.
Torre del Orso, Puglia
One of the most atmospheric beaches in the region with snow-white cliffs and turquoise sea. A place where it is easy to lose track of time.
Riviera del Conero, Marche
From the wild beach of Mezzavalle to the developed areas of Numana Alta - this region enchants at first sight.
Many beaches are rocky, and in some areas sun loungers and umbrellas are paid separately.
Italy offers beaches for every taste: from wild bays and nature reserves to comfortable resorts near historic cities. When planning a summer trip, it is worth considering seasonal restrictions and the popularity of individual locations in advance - this will help make your vacation as comfortable as possible.
