Moving to the sunny Dominican Republic is a dream of many migrants. This country has fairly easy conditions for migration, a warm climate and extraordinary landscapes.

Immigration to the Dominican Republic is possible for any migrant with an average income. In particular, it is quite easy to live in the Dominican Republic as a resident, as the country offers affordable and comfortable living conditions.

First of all, life in the Dominican Republic is for those who love a measured life, Latin American culture, nature and water sports.

The Dominican Republic is also of interest to investors and can become a platform for developing bold plans. A big plus is the country's geographical location, developed international air service, proximity to the United States, low taxes and unlimited business opportunities. Read more about these and other advantages of living in the Dominican Republic.

How a foreigner can move to the Dominican Republic: details

First of all, you need a good reason to become a resident of the Dominican Republic. The country's legislation classifies the reasons for migration into five categories:

1. Buying real estate. This is the most common way to move to the Dominican Republic. After you have purchased an apartment or villa and officially confirmed your ownership, you can immediately collect documents and apply for a residence permit.

2. Investment. This method is the method of choice for wealthy immigrants. The requirements for applicants for residence are minimal and not burdensome. However, the minimum investment amount is quite high, 200,000 yen. Both the investor and his family can obtain a residence permit and permanent residence in the Dominican Republic.

3. Marriage. You can also move by marrying a resident of the Dominican Republic. However, this method is not as easy as it seems. Immigrants applying for citizenship are carefully scrutinized. A fake marriage is easy to recognize.

4. Restoration of family ties. If you have Dominican relatives, you can apply for permanent residence directly. You will need to provide a document proving your family ties.

5. Business. This is also a reliable way of migration, but very expensive. The procedure for opening a company on the island is greatly simplified for foreigners. The tourism business is the most popular destination for foreigners.
