What is the Trump Gold Card?

The Trump Gold Card program was created by presidential order as a way to attract capital to the United States and prioritize the admission of foreigners who can make a significant economic contribution. It bypasses the traditional EB-5 job creation requirements by offering an alternative path to a green card.

Basic terms and requirements for applicants for the Trump Gold Card

- Individual applicants: $1,000,000 contribution + $15,000 processing fee.

- Corporate sponsors: $2,000,000 contribution per employee + $15,000 processing fee.

- Family members of the main applicant (spouse and children under 21) also pay a $1,000,000 contribution and a $15,000 processing fee.

The Trump Gold Card program opens the way for a foreigner to permanent residence under the EB-1 (extraordinary ability) or EB-2 (national interest waiver) categories.

How to apply for a US Trump Gold Card?

The application process consists of several stages:

Step 1 - Registration on the TrumpCard.gov portal

You must provide personal information about the applicant and family members.

Step 2 - Payment of the DHS fee

A non-refundable processing fee of $15,000 per participant is submitted through pay.gov.

Step 3 - Filing of Form I-140G online

An immigration petition for participation in the Gold Card program is submitted through the USCIS portal.

Step 4 - Donation to the US Treasury

After verification of the legitimacy of the funds, the applicant pays $1 million (individually) or $2 million (corporately).

Step 5 – Consular Processing and Form DS-260G

After the petition is approved, an immigrant visa application is submitted, including a personal interview at a U.S. consulate.

Platinum Card – Another Promising US Residence Permit for Foreigners

The administration’s website also mentions the Platinum Card. It will allow foreigners to reside in the U.S. for up to 270 days per year without tax on income earned abroad, for a deposit of $5 million plus a processing fee. A waiting list is currently being formed.

Who is eligible for the Trump US Gold Card program?

The Gold Card is aimed at:

- Investors and entrepreneurs with significant capital

- Individuals with extraordinary abilities or talent who can make a significant contribution to the United States

- Corporations seeking to quickly secure the legal status of key employees

The program has already sparked debate among lawmakers and activists: some criticize it for prioritizing the wealthy, others see it as a quick and transparent way to attract investment. However, be that as it may, the new path to a green card in the United States is a pleasant prospect for foreigners.
