During the three-year trip around the world, tourists will visit all continents, 135 countries and 375 ports, covering a total of about 200,000 kilometers.
The voyage will begin in Istanbul, Turkey, then the ship will make additional stops in Barcelona, Spain, and Miami, USA, where passengers will be able to join the trip. Travelers will visit most of South America, Antarctica, the Caribbean, Central America, and the United States (including California, Hawaii, Washington, and Alaska). Then they will go to Asia, make 12 stops in Japan, South Korea (including Jeju Island) and China. The itinerary covers most of the most popular destinations in Southeast Asia: Bali, Danang in Vietnam, the Cambodian coast, Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Next stops are Australia and New Zealand, from there the ship will sail to India and Sri Lanka, before visiting the Maldives and Seychelles, Zanzibar, Cape Town and up the west coast of Africa, stopping at St. Helena, the Canary Islands and Madeira. In Europe, tourists will be able to explore the Mediterranean coast and Northern Europe.
During the entire trip, tourists will meet Christmas in Brazil and New Year in Argentina, visit many iconic monuments and UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, Machu Picchu in Peru, the Great Wall of China, the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio -de Janeiro and the Taj Mahal in India.
The main advantage of the trip is its duration, usually during the cruise tourists spend one to two days in each port, and sometimes even several hours, during a three-year cruise in some big cities, such as Shanghai and Singapore, the duration of the stop will reach 7 days.
The cost of the trip
The cost of the trip starts at USD 30,000 per person per year. The price includes food, beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), laundry, Wi-Fi, gratuity, cleaning and port fees.
The most luxurious suite on board, with a large balcony, costs $109,000 a year.
The company also offers a cabin sharing scheme, for example, 2 families can pay for one room for the entire trip, and then split the trip between them.
Liner infrastructure
Tourists will explore the world on the large MV Gemini cruise ship, which will be overhauled for the trip. There are 400 cabins on board that can accommodate 1,074 passengers.
You can have lunch in one of the two restaurants, visit the cafe on the deck by the pool, or order room service.
For a comfortable journey on board, there will be a swimming pool, a sun deck, a golf course, a fitness center and a hospital with medical staff and dentists. Doctors will be able to perform diagnostics on medical equipment: X-ray and ultrasound machines and defibrillators. According to the cruise company, medical personnel will even be able to perform certain operations. There will also be a pharmacy on board.
The liner will be fully equipped for remote operation. A large business center with a meeting room, 14 office spaces, a library and a recreation area will be installed on the ship.
Travel on cruise ships, and especially around-the-world trips, are currently very popular among tourists. One of the companies even plans to launch an indefinite trip in 2024. And while the adventurous can go on a three-year tour, you have a full eight months to prepare, get your paperwork in order, get your vaccinations and switch to telecommuting.
