- visa (for citizens of countries with which the visa-free regime is not established).

Duration of visa-free stay in Belize
Tourists can travel in Belize without a visa for up to 30 days. Those wishing to stay longer than one month must extend their visa. Visitor permits can be obtained from Belize immigration offices throughout the country, the cost is USD 100.00 per extension, the duration of a single extension is 30 days. Under these conditions, you can stay in the country for up to 6 months.
Fees for leaving Belize
There is no entry fee to Belize, but an exit fee is required. This tax is used for infrastructure development, airport/border maintenance or expansion, and national conservation efforts. The fee will vary depending on whether you are leaving Belize through its international airport or through the land borders with Guatemala or Mexico. The airport exit tax is US$55.50 for tourists and US$35 for citizens or residents of Belize. At land borders, the fee is US$20 and is payable only by tourists.
Quarantine restrictions due to the COVID-19 epidemic
Effective July 12, 2022, Belizean authorities have lifted their COVID-19 advisories and restrictions
for foreign tourists. Therefore, tourists do not need to confirm vaccination or provide negative test results. However, travelers are advised to stay in certified hotels and obtain health insurance for travel to Belize.

To travel to Belize, children must have a foreign passport and notarized parental consent if traveling without one or both parents.
Rules for importing pets
A veterinary certificate issued by a veterinarian in the country of origin and an import permit from the Belize Department of Agriculture are required to legally enter Belize.

In order to stay in Belize, you need to go through the procedure of obtaining a permanent residence. To be eligible to apply for permanent residence, foreigners must have lived in the country legally for one year and regularly pay residence fees.
