Expedia's fall travel forecast shows a significant increase in requests for fall flights, which has already exceeded 15% compared to last year. However, unlike the summer tourist surge, the increased demand did not automatically lead to higher prices. According to Expedia, domestic flights will fall in price by 10% and international flights by 5% during the off-peak fall season of 2024.

Predicted airfares for fall 2024

The biggest savings can be found in the week starting October 24, when domestic flights will be 20% cheaper than in summer and international flights will be 15% cheaper than average. This makes fall an ideal time to travel for those who are not tied to school schedules or children, as well as for bargain hunters.

In early fall, airfares are expected to drop for the following destinations:

1. Oslo, Norway: average prices will drop by almost 40%;

2. Stockholm, Sweden: average prices will decrease by almost 35%;

3. Ibiza, Spain: average prices will decrease by almost 35%;

4. Tallinn, Estonia: average prices will decrease by more than 30%;

5. Copenhagen, Denmark: average prices will decrease by more than 30%;

6. Glasgow, Scotland: average prices will decrease by more than 30%;

7. Tenerife, Spain: average prices will decrease by 30%;

8. Tokyo, Japan: average prices will decrease by more than 20%;

9. Paris, France: average prices will decrease by more than 20%;

10. Florence, Italy: average prices will decrease by more than 20%.
