This period can be extended for another 30 days by contacting the migration service before the end of the stay. The cost of the extension is 1900 Thai baht (approximately 56 USD).
For a long stay in Thailand, Ukrainians must apply for a visa at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand 4-5 weeks before the planned entry. Documents must be submitted in person to the embassy, as applications sent by mail are not considered.

Retirement visa to Thailand (1 year)
Upon arrival in Thailand with an annual visa, the holder has the right to stay in the country for one year from the date of first entry. If during this period the tourist plans to leave and return to the country, he/she is obliged to apply to the immigration office for re-entry permit. This permit can be a one-time or multiple entry permit. If you leave Thailand without such permission, your annual visa will be automatically canceled.
At the end of every 90 days of stay in the country, a foreigner must report to the immigration officer in the area of his/her residence or, if there is no immigration office, to the local police station.
Notification can also be made by mail by submitting the following documents:
1. The report form (Tor Mor 47);
2. A copy of the passport pages with a photo, personal data and the stamp of the last entry;
3. A copy of the previous entry confirmation receipt;
4. A self-addressed envelope with postage paid.
The documents should be sent to the Immigration Bureau Office in Bangkok at: Soi Suan Plu, South Sathorn Road, Sathorn District, Bangkok 10120, at least 7 days before the end of each 90-day period. After that, the foreigner will receive a receipt that should be used for further correspondence.
Foreigners who wish to extend their stay in Thailand after the expiration of the annual visa must apply for an extension at the immigration office. It is necessary to confirm financial solvency: provide documentary evidence of a money transfer or deposit account in Thailand, or an income statement. The total amount must be at least 800,000 baht. Extension of the period of stay is granted at the discretion of the immigration officer, provided that all requirements are met.
Customs regulations in Thailand
Thai Customs allows foreign nationals to enter the country with personal belongings worth up to 80,000 baht without paying import duties, provided that these items are for personal or professional use, their quantity is limited, and they are not prohibited or restricted goods.
Prohibited goods for importation are:
1. Pornographic and immoral materials;
2. Goods depicting the national flag of Thailand;
3. Narcotic substances such as marijuana, hashish, cocaine, morphine, heroin and opium, as well as counterfeit money, forged bonds, official and royal seals;
4. Pirated goods, including music tapes, CDs, videos and computer programs;
5. Goods with counterfeit trademarks.
Restricted goods:
1. Medicines, food and supplementary products that require a prior license from the Department of Medicine and Food under the Ministry of Health;
2. Registered or unregistered antiques or artistic materials require a license from the Department of Fine Arts;
3. Weapons, ammunition, explosives, fireworks and counterfeit firearms require the necessary license from the Ministry of the Interior;
4. Other systems, such as electric shock devices, which must be declared as some of these items require a license before importation;
5. The Law on Cosmetics stipulates that in order to protect public health, it is necessary to control the import of cosmetics and provide data of the importer, location of the manufacturing plant, composition, in addition to the main components of these products;
6. Wildlife, flora, fish and other marine animals require import licenses from the Department of Plant and Wildlife Protection, the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Fisheries.
Expensive goods are subject to re-importation
When departing from Thailand, if a traveler has expensive items such as cameras, camcorders, laptops or recording devices and plans to bring them back, they can notify the customs department at the airport after receiving their boarding passes. It is important that these items have serial numbers or are branded. Customs officers will record the export of these personal items to allow their re-importation without paying duty upon the owner's return to Thailand.
As for foreign currencies, there are no specific restrictions on their import or export. However, amounts in excess of USD 20,000 (or equivalent) must be declared in accordance with Ministerial Decree No. 25 of 1987. Foreign currencies are declared by filling out a form, which is signed and handed over to customs officers at the airport or port.
It is also worth remembering that travelers with more than 50,000 Thai baht must declare these funds upon departure, except when traveling to neighboring countries such as Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
