How to fill out the Check Mig Colombia form: step-by-step instructions
Step 1 – Go to Check Mig Colombia official site
Go to Check Mig Colombia Official Site.
Step 2 – Fill in your travel information
- Press Aereo if you're flying.
- Terrestre means entry through a land border.
- Marítimo means the entrance to the seaport.
- Fluvial means entering by river.
In Tipo de Registro, select Ingreso a Colombia.
Ciudad de Ingreso al País means the border checkpoint through which you will enter Colombia.
Fecha viaje means the date you plan to travel.
When you fill in the Vuelo block, make sure you include only the number part of your flight. When you do, it will automatically enter your flight details and fill in some relevant fields.
After that, you can fill in the Pais de procedencia, which is nothing more than the country of origin.
Step 3 – Provide personal details
On the next page, you will need to provide personal data:
- Passport number.
- Name and Surname. If you have more than one first and last name, you will need to provide them.
- Sex.
- Date of birth.
- Country of birth.
- Email.
After that, scroll down to fill in your visa details if you are entering with a visa. First you need to specify the purpose of your trip and the visa type will be filled in automatically.
At the next stage, enter:
- Visa number
- The country where the visa was issued
- Visa issuance date
- Visa validity period
In the next section, fill in the address: state, city, address, phone number and click "Continue".
Step 4 – Provide health information
On the next page of the Colombia Check Mig form, you need to answer the following questions:
- Are you vaccinated against Covid-19?
- Have you had any of these problems in the last 14 days? (fever, fatigue, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, general well-being)
- Have you tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 14 days? If so, you should not travel.
- In the last 15 days, have you been to: South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Angola or Zambia?
- Are you registered in the BIOMIG service?
After choosing the answers, click Continue”.
Step 5 – Are you traveling with children?
On the next page, you will be asked if you are traveling with children or minors. If so, you can choose Si. A pop-up window will open where you can fill in your children's personal information.
After that, click "Continue".
Step 6 – Submit the form
Finally, you must fill in the captcha and agree to the terms and conditions, then click GUARDAR Y ENVIAR PREREGISTRO.
You will then be able to download the pre-registration report or Check Mig Colombia PDF file for entering Colombia, which in Spanish is called Confirmación de Pre-Registro Migratorio .
This will be a PDF file that you can save on your phone or print.
If you have not received an email within an hour, you can contact Migración Colombia through the contact form. You can do the same in case of any error or if you notice that Check Mig Colombia is not working for some reason.
How long is Check MIG valid?
