A seasonal work visa in the Czech Republic is a seasonal work visa that is designed to overcome labor shortages in sectors such as agriculture, tourism and forestry. Workers in various positions can obtain this permit – from harvesting and working in vineyards to hotel staff or employees of ski resorts.
When to apply for a seasonal work visa for the Czech Republic?
Applications for the Czech Seasonal Work Visa in 2025 will be accepted exclusively on January 15, 2025 from 10:00 to 16:00 (local time).
The procedure is carried out entirely online, through the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
Requirements for obtaining a seasonal work visa in the Czech Republic
To obtain a seasonal work visa in the Czech Republic for 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Have a job offer
The candidate must have received a signed employment contract from an employer in a relevant seasonal industry, such as agriculture, forestry or hospitality. The contract must specify the position, salary and duration of the job.
2. Citizenship
The program is open to citizens of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Non-citizens who have been residing in these countries for more than two years and have a valid long-term residence permit can also apply.
3. Prepare a package of documents

Average salary: CZK 20,000 to 25,000 (EUR 770-950) per month.
2. Vineyard work – vineyard care and harvesting
Period: March to October.
Average salary: CZK 22,000 to 27,000 (EUR 850-1,000) per month.
3. Farm work – general agricultural work, including planting and harvesting
Period: March to November.
Average salary: 18,000 to 22,000 CZK (700-850 EUR) per month.
4. Tree planting (forestry workers)
Period: March to May and September to November.
Average salary: 20,000 to 26,000 CZK (770-980 EUR) per month.
5. Wood processing - vacancies related to forestry, especially in the field of wood processing
Period: September to November.
Average salary: 22,000 to 28,000 CZK (850-1,100 EUR) per month.
6. Hotel staff (cleaners, waiters)
Period: June to August and December to February.
Average salary: 20,000 to 30,000 CZK (770-1,150 EUR) per month.
7. Kitchen helpers
Period: June to August and December to February.
Average salary: 18,000 to 24,000 CZK (700-950 EUR) per month.
8. Ski resort staff
Period: December to February.
Average salary: 22,000 to 35,000 CZK (850-1,350 EUR) per month.
9. Construction workers
Period: March to October.
Average salary: 22,000 to 30,000 CZK (850-1,150 EUR) per month.
10. Christmas Market Staff
Period: November and December.
Average salary: 18,000 to 25,000 CZK (700-960 EUR) per month.
