Mongolia has officially confirmed the extension of the visa-free regime for citizens of 34 countries until at least January 1, 2027. This decision removes previous uncertainty and makes planning trips to the country even easier and more predictable.

The confirmation was made on December 31 in a statement published by the Mongolian Embassy in France. According to it, citizens of certain countries can enter Mongolia without a visa for a period of up to 30 days, provided that they have a regular passport.

Visa-free entry rules for Mongolia
Visa-free entry requires compliance with standard border requirements:
- stay no longer than the permitted period;
- passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry;
- confirmation of a return ticket or onward journey;
- information about the place of residence;
- sufficient financial resources (may be checked selectively).
The visa-free regime does not give the right to work or long-term residence.
Special conditions for South Korean citizens in Mongolia
Within the framework of the state program "Visit Mongolia Year", South Korean citizens can stay in Mongolia for up to 90 days without a visa.
This rule is valid until December 31, 2026.
