Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air has launched a new paid service, Wizz Class, in test mode, which has already been dubbed “budget business class”. It allows passengers to get more personal space and additional privileges without switching to a full-fledged premium class.

At this stage, the service is available only on selected routes and is offered when booking a ticket. We will tell you about the advantages and features of the Wizz Class option from Wizz Air in this article.

Traveling abroad is not only about tickets and reservations, but also about taking care of your own safety. Travel insurance will help you avoid unforeseen expenses in case of illness, flight delay or lost luggage.

Apply for an insurance policy online in a few minutes and travel with peace of mind!

What is Wizz Class?

Wizz Class is an option of increased comfort that combines several premium services in one package. The main feature is a locked middle seat next to you, which provides more legroom and elbow room, as well as additional privacy during the flight.

The service is available as an upgrade when booking Smart and Plus fares and uses dynamic pricing - the cost starts from approximately 50 euros and can vary depending on the route and demand.

What benefits are included in Wizz Class?

Passengers who choose Wizz Class receive:

- A seat in the front row (near the window or aisle) with additional legroom;

- A free middle seat next to you;

- Priority boarding;

- Two pieces of hand luggage, including a wheeled suitcase weighing up to 10 kg;

- A complimentary snack and a soft drink on board.

Important! There are only two such seats in the cabin - 1B and 1E, so the number of upgrades is strictly limited.

How does Wizz Class booking work?

Wizz Class can only be purchased when booking a flight. It is not possible to add this option to an existing booking.

If several passengers claim the same middle seat, it will go to the first to book. In case the airline is forced to place another passenger in a blocked middle seat for operational reasons, the customer will receive a full refund of the Wizz Class price and a credit of 20 EUR to their WIZZ profile.

On which routes is Wizz Class available?

After testing in December 2025, Wizz Class is available on selected flights to and from the following cities:

- Budapest

- Bucharest (Otopeni)

- Warsaw

- London (Luton and Gatwick)

- Rome (Fiumicino)

The list of routes may change depending on the results of the pilot launch.

Who is Wizz Class suitable for?

The new option is aimed at passengers who want more comfort without having to completely switch to business class. Wizz Class can be a convenient solution for:

- Business trips within Europe;

- Short flights where space and quick boarding are important;

- Travelers who value privacy;

- Couples who want to fly together without extraneous passengers nearby.

Can Wizz Class be canceled?

Wizz Class cannot be canceled separately. It is refundable only with a full cancellation of the reservation, in accordance with the airline's rules and fees.

Wizz Class is Wizz Air's attempt to offer affordable comfort in a low-cost format. If the test is successful, the service may be expanded to new routes or made a permanent part of the airline's offer.

Even a comfortable flight with Wizz Class is not insured against delays, flight cancellations or medical expenses abroad. Travel insurance for air passengers covers risks during the flight and stay abroad.

Choose reliable insurance before departure and protect your trip today.

Let us remind you! In 2025, punctuality of flights has become a key indicator of the quality of air transportation in the world. We have already told you which airlines and airports demonstrated the highest On-Time Performance according to the Cirium rating, who became the leader among carriers and which air hubs topped the world ranking.
