In 2025, the average gross monthly wage in the Polish economy reached 8,903.56 zlotys. Compared to 2024, this figure increased by 9.1%, confirming a steady upward trend in employees’ incomes.
The overall growth in average wages is accompanied by a persistent significant disparity between different sectors of the economy. The wage gap between the highest- and lowest-paying sectors reaches nearly 9,000 zlotys per month, which influences career choices and employment trends in the country.

The information and communications sector ranked first in terms of average wages in 2025. Employees in this sector earned an average of 14,689.70 zlotys gross per month. This figure exceeds the national average wage by 65%.

- telecommunications companies;
- digital services;
- the media industry.
High incomes are also traditionally found in the financial sector, the insurance industry, and among professionals providing specialized services. These industries consistently rank among the most attractive in Poland in terms of pay.

Sectors with the Lowest Salaries in Poland
The lowest average salary in 2025 was recorded in the accommodation and food services sector. Employees of hotels, restaurants, and cafes earned an average of 5,990.92 zlotys gross per month. This figure is 32.7% lower than the national average salary.
It is precisely in these sectors that foreigners—particularly Ukrainian citizens—often find employment when they come to Poland for seasonal or temporary work. The hotel and restaurant sector remains one of the most accessible for workers without specific qualifications.

Employment Structure in the Polish Labor Market
According to official data from GUS, 11.04 million people were employed full-time in Poland in 2025. This figure remained virtually unchanged compared to the previous year. The industrial sector remains the country’s largest employer, accounting for 22.5% of all full-time employees.
The following economic sectors showed the most significant growth in employment last year:
- services — a 3% increase;
- education — a 2.1% increase;
- real estate — a 2% increase.
