How much does an e-Visa for Nepal cost: fees and length of stay

The cost of an e-Visa depends on the planned duration of the trip. The government offers three fixed rates, each of which determines the maximum length of a tourist’s legal stay in the country.

Prices for an e-Visa to Nepal:

  • $30 USD — 15-day permit;
  • $50 USD — 30-day permit;
  • $125 USD — 90-day permit.

Payment of the fee is accepted only via foreign bank cards. The selected fee cannot be changed after the application is approved.

Will the visa be valid upon arrival at Kathmandu Airport?

Along with the introduction of the e-Visa service, the traditional procedure for obtaining a visa at the border will remain in effect. Travelers who have not applied for an e-Visa in advance will be able to obtain a visa directly at Kathmandu International Airport.

Thus, tourists have two options for entering Nepal: applying online before departure or obtaining a visa upon arrival in the country.
