Please note!
To enter Indonesia, you need to fill out a customs declaration. This can be done online or upon arrival. At the airport, there are banners with a QR code that needs to be scanned to get to the declaration page. But in order not to waste time upon arrival, we recommend filling it out in advance on the official website.
Some airlines also require a completed pre-boarding declaration. It must be completed no earlier than two days before arrival in Indonesia. We recommend that you check the rules of your airline for this information.
When entering Indonesia, a new mandatory requirement has been introduced to fill out an electronic questionnaire at sshp.kemkes.go.id. This is a precautionary measure to prevent the importation of monkeypox (mpox).
In the questionnaire, you need to indicate:
- The countries you have visited in the last 21 days;
- Presence of symptoms characteristic of monkeypox;
- Information about contacts with people who have symptoms of mpox.

An alternative to the VOA is a single-entry visa 211A (former index B211A - until January 2023), which is valid for 60 days and can be extended twice up to a total possible stay of 180 days. After that, you can apply again while in Indonesia for another 180 days.
Please note!
All visas to Indonesia are issued electronically, you do not need to visit the embassy. You can apply for a visa yourself through the official website of the Indonesian Immigration.
Visa Waiver Agreement (VEA)
If you come from one of the 9 countries with a Visa Waiver Agreement, you do not need a visa to enter Indonesia. Entry is permitted for 30 days and, unlike VOA or 211A , the duration cannot be extended. It is intended for tourist purposes only.
