There are two options of entry to Cyprus – with a visa and visa-free. To find out whether you need a visa for entry to Cyprus follow the link.
If you have the right for a visa-free entry, your stay must not exceed 90 days. This concerns such cases when you are traveling as a tourist, visiting family or friends, attending business meetings, cultural or sports events, planning to study short-term.
A longer stay is possible but you have to apply for an extension of the period of your stay.
All citizens from non-EU member states willing to live in Cyprus have to obtain a medical insurance according to the law. This insurance is a compulsory requirement for registration in immigration authorities.
A travel insurance policy has to meet the following requirements:
A minimum coverage of 30000 Euros;
Has to cover expenses related to repatriation due to medical reasons, urgent health issues, hospitalization or death.
If you are willing to enter Cyprus with a tourist, family, business or any other short-term goal, you ought to apply for a short-term visa for Cyprus, also known as a Cyprus tourist visa.
Cyprus tourist visas are divided into:
A short-stay visa. This visa, most commonly used by tourists, allows you to enter Cyprus for reasons apart from immigration (meaning business or entertainment) for a period of one to 90 days in the span of six months.
The application fee is 20 Euros.
A multiple-entry visa. This visa type is designed for people traveling to Cyprus often and is valid for up to five years. The length of each stay must not exceed three months in any semester.
The application fee is 60 Euros.
Pay attention! The European Union will not issue Schengen visas to citizens who received Russian passports in the "DNR", "LNR", Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, as well as in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
Acquaint yourself with the list of all required documents for application for a Cyprus visa on the website.
Please note that for the citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Belarus the cost of visa is € 35. At the same time with this decision there are no free visas for Russians: now citizens of the Russian Federation, applying for a Cyprus visa must prepare € 80.
