In order to become a student at the University of Andorra, a foreigner must submit the same documents as for studying at other educational institutions in Europe.  

A permit is granted for training, high-level sports training, and research and allows a person to reside in the country only for the duration of this education, practice, training, or research.

According to the current legislation, it can be requested by any novice who:

•Wishes to reside in Andorra and study at an educational institution recognized by the government that provides training aimed at obtaining official degrees or in-house training approved by the Ministry of Education and Culture, internships, high-level sports training or research.

Required documents for a study permit in Andorra:

1. Application Form. 

2. Original and photocopy of a valid passport.

    Citizens who are ones of member states of the European Union and the European Economic Area may, alternatively, present an original and photocopy of their current national identity document.

3.Certificate of criminal record.

From the country of origin, as well as from the countries of residence.

4. A certificate by the sworn about the criminal record. 

5. Photo.

    A color photo (by size 35 x 45 mm) taken recently, less than 6 months before application, with a fully visible appearance and a bare head.

6. Bank account.

At the rate of 75 euros per day of stay (minimum 670 euros), or a sponsor's letter with a copy of your passport.  

7. Insurance is a prerequisite.  

You need to apply for it at the rate of coverage of at least 50,000.  The insurance policy should apply not only to Andorra, but also to all Schengen countries.

8. Certificate of residence.

•A copy of the lease agreement.

•A copy of the certificate of ownership.

•Another certificate that accredits residence in a public institution.

•If the homeowner is not the person submitting the application, you must also attach a. certificate of residence

9. A document which is confirming health insurance that covers 100% of any medical expenses during the planned period.

    If, in exceptional cases, the policy doesn’t cover the entire period granted, the applicant must submit an affidavit in which he agrees to renew it before the expiration date of his permit.

10. Justification of sufficient financial resources for living in Andorra.

    If the applicant is of legal age, it is necessary to prove that the amount of his financial capabilities is equal to or exceeds the minimum wage of Andorra during the period of study or internship. 

If you are a minor, this must be confirmed by your parents or legal guardians.

11. If the person applying for an immigration permit for study or internship is a minor.

    The application must be completed and signed by their legal representative or guardian and must be accompanied by:

•A copy of the passport and/or national identity document of the minor's representative or legal guardian.

•A statement by a legal representative or guardian that a minor has studied or completed high-level training or sports training in Andorra, indicating the person of Andorran citizenship or permanent residence in the country, or the Andorran institution or organization to which he assigns custody of the minor.

•Application of the individual or legal entity under whose care the minor is located, together with the original and photocopy of the passport and/or identity document, if it is an individual. 

•In any case, the Immigration Service may call an individual or a legal representative of a legal entity to verify that they are accepting custody.

12. Documentation that you must give to obtain a study permit:

•Documents confirming the exclusive status of a student or researcher.

•Introductory documents and schedule of planned educational or research activities.

•Documents confirming the content and duration of training or scientific activity.

13. Documents that you must give to obtain an immigration permit for an internship:

•The academic or professional degree or accreditation certificate that started the procedure for obtaining it.

•A document stating that it is not integrated into the labor market.

•Documents confirming the calendar of the training practice period.

•Agreement between the competent ministry and the training center abroad.

14. Documents that you must give to obtain an immigration permit for sports training:

•A document confirming registration and membership in the Sports Federation for which you are applying.

•Documents confirming the calendar of the sports training period, with a specific forecast for the end of this period.

15. Information about conducting a medical examination and consent to conduct a medical examination.

16. Signed document.
