You may want to consider setting up a business in Antigua and Barbuda as the government has greatly simplified the process of doing business, whether you are a small startup or a large company. The country welcomes foreign investment. This is because, according to the Antigua and Barbuda Investment Authority (ABIA), the Small Business Development Act allows for a 75% reduction in property taxes and exempts businesses from income tax for up to five years.

You can start your own business by submitting the following:

• An offer with a business description
• A statement of tax incentives that accompanies the offer
• Work permits for everyone who works for the company
• License for ownership of land of a foreigner
• An application for a lease or rent for a building used for business

If you love animals, you can work in animal shelters. There are many donkeys in the region. They are widespread among the poorer classes and farmers. Multiple-entry visas are only granted to applicants who provide proof of multiple entries to Antigua and Barbuda:

• Proof of residence during your stay. For those traveling for work or business, provide a letter from your employer stating the purpose of your travel.
• Confirmation of the availability of funds to finance the trip, i.e. bank statements for the previous two months.
• A criminal record certificate may be required upon request by the visa issuing office.
