Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is one of the most famous and prestigious universities in the world. The strong faculties of the university are: "Art and Humanities", "Engineering and Technology", "Life Sciences and Medicine", "Natural Sciences", and "Social Sciences and Management".


Application process and tuition fees

The main criterion for admission is the academic performance of the applicant. Traditionally, the academic year is divided into semesters as in many other universities in Greece. Tuition fees for some undergraduate programs do not exceed $1,000 for international students. The university has affordable master's programs for as little as $1,000 per year. Entry Requirements

Greek universities are not biased towards foreign students and select exclusively on the basis of competition for certificates. Training is conducted only in Greek so admission will have to pass an internal exam in Greek or provide a certificate that confirms a sufficient level of language proficiency (not lower than B2).

Greek universities are funded by the state so getting a bachelor's or master's degree for foreign students is almost free. The only thing to do is pay the $717 annual fee. For a comfortable life, a student needs to have about $ 500 a month to pay for housing, study materials, and meals.

Language courses open for 1 year for students who don’t speak Greek.
