How does the program for moving to the island of Sardinia work?

The program is available to both Italians and foreigners. To become a participant, you need to register as a resident in a city with a population of up to 3,000 people. The local government provides a non-refundable grant of up to 15,000 euros per household. These funds are intended for the purchase or renovation of a home, but cannot exceed 50% of its cost. For the grant to be valid, participants must move within 18 months of purchasing or renovating the home.

The Italian town of Radicondoli offers rental subsidies, grants for the purchase of a home and support for new residents. The conditions for moving to Tuscany are here.

Financial support for families and young people

In addition to the relocation grant, the Sardinian authorities have also introduced additional payments for young families:

- For the first child – about 600 euros per month,

- For the second – 400 euros, until the child reaches the age of five.

Thus, the program stimulates not only relocation, but also the creation of new families in rural areas.

Why is Sardinia offering relocation grants?

The President of Sardinia noted that the goal of the program is to ensure the sustainable development of areas where the population is declining and support the economy of the region. 45 million euros have been allocated for its implementation, and it is part of a long-term strategy to combat depopulation.

For those who dream of a quiet life on an island with a wonderful climate, this is a chance not only to receive financial assistance, but also to completely change their lifestyle, enjoying the culture and nature of Sardinia.

Traveling, moving or working in another country is always associated with bureaucracy and documents. A migration lawyer is your reliable guide in the world of immigration law. He helps you prepare a complete package of documents, check their compliance with the country's requirements and ensure the successful receipt of a visa or residence permit. This is especially important for resettlement programs, such as Sardinia, where the conditions of participation require strict adherence to the rules. Consulting a lawyer allows you to save time, avoid rejections and build your new beginning without unnecessary stress.

Don't take risks - contact a professional and get support at every step of your move!

Let's remind you! In Europe, more and more small towns are launching support programs for new residents. Some of them offer financial grants, preferential rent or housing assistance to stop the outflow of the population. We have already talked about cities and programs that are ready to pay for relocation in 2026.
