

Rules of entry and stay

- 14 days: Cambodia, Canada, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Maldives, Myanmar (Burma), Peru, Philippines, Russia, Thailand, Vietnam.
- 30 days: Laos, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Singapore, South Korea, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates.
- 90 days: all citizens of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA.
- Australia, Bahrain (can get a single-entry or multiple-entry visa valid for 30 days);
- Kuwait (can get a single-entry visa valid for 30 days);
- China, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan (can get a single-entry visa valid for 14 days).
- A passport that is valid for at least six months after the date of your return. And there are at least two free "visa pages" available;
- Confirmation of sufficient funds for the duration of your stay in Brunei;
- Round-trip air tickets.
- Application form, fully completed and signed.
- A photo with the format of the passport, a recent photo of a face on a white background, with the size 3.5 x 4.5 cm.
- Passport and a copy of the main page that is valid for at least six months after the date of your scheduled departure, with 2 blank pages.
- A copy of the return ticket.
- The proof of residence in Brunei. For example, a hotel reservation or the address where you will stay if you are staying with family/friends.
- The proof that you can financially support yourself in Brunei.
- Your contact details.
- Payment of the visa fee.
- If you apply by mail: a prepaid envelope with your own address for returning your documents to the consular services.
- A copy of the birth certificate/adoption certificate/custody order in case of divorce of the parents/death certificate of the father;
- A letter of consent from the parent/parents or legal guardian/guardians if the minor child is traveling unaccompanied;

Entering Brunei as Bruneian Citizen
The simultaneous stay of visitors in the hotel lobby not more than one person per 10 square meters of serviceable area is allowed.
Persons can visit hotels and stay there (outside hotel room) only if they wear respirator or face mask (including homemade mask), so that the nose and mouth are covered.
Hotel guests are obliged to keep the 1.5 meters distance.
Online check-in making in advance is recommended to avoid queues at check-in to hotel.
Meals in hotels are provided through meals delivery service to rooms upon prior order or at hotel restaurants situated inside or in open areas, provided the distance of at least 1.5 meters between seats at adjacent tables.
Not more than 4 clients are allowed to stay at the table (excluding children under 14 years old). Unless these tables are separated by a special partition;
Self-serve is not allowed.
