Citizens of 5 countries do not need a visa to enter the Congo, the total period of stay in the country should not exceed 90 days. This applies when you travel as a tourist, visit family or friends, or attend business meetings, cultural or sporting events. Visitors must have a passport valid for six months, which must contain at least one blank page for visa stamps. The passport must be valid for six months after the date of departure from the Congo.
Citizens who are allowed to obtain visas upon arrival in Congo can obtain a visa upon arrival at Maya-Maya International Airport in Brazzaville.
Countries whose citizens must apply for and obtain a visa to the Congo before traveling can obtain it at any accredited Consulate of the Congo.

Print, fill in completely, and sign it. If you leave any parts of your visa application blank, this will delay your visa approval process.
- Two color passport-sized photos with a first and last name written on the back.
Photos should be on a white background and with a full frontal view of the face. These photos should be taken within the last 6 months and show your current appearance. The facial expression should be neutral, there should not be any smiles or frowns in the photo. You should not wear glasses in the photo. Hair should be removed back so that the face is visible.
Ears should be clearly visible. It should not have any hats, except religious.
- Your passport, valid for at least another six months from the date of entry and has at least two blank pages
- Copy of one passport (BIO page only) and copies of previous Congo visas (If applicable)
- Residence permit or other proof of legal residence if you are not a citizen of the country from which you are applying
- Invitation letter or hotel reservation
Printed and notarized letter of invitation (invitation letter must be notarized by the City Council or Prefecture/Mairie) indicating the nature of the trip, the name and address of the landmark to be visited in the Republic of the Congo. The invitation letter must be addressed to the Embassy of the Republic of the Congo, visa section, and must be valid for at least 3 months (90 days).
- Copy of plane tickets and itinerary
- Confirmation of payment of the visa fee, payment must be made only in cash (exact amount) or by money transfer indicating only the amount (leave all other fields empty). This measure is valid until further notice
- A copy of the international certificate of vaccination against yellow fever
- If you apply by mail, a self-sent and prepaid envelope to return your passport and documents
- All tourists are advised to have an insurance policy.

Transit through Maya-Maya Airport in Brazzaville is allowed without a visa for passengers who continue to travel on the same plane or change planes without leaving the airport.
Otherwise, you will need a transit visa (Airport Visa), if you want to travel through the Republic of the Congo. Issued at the point of entry to the recipient of the flight visa or with the direct permission of the Director General.

Pets must enter the Republic of the Congo through Pointe-Noir Airport. Pets can be brought into the cabin of the aircraft as checked baggage or air cargo. When traveling to a foreign country such as the Republic of the Congo, it is always recommended to have an identity card confirming the ownership of the animal.

Tourists with a valid local driver's license accompanied by IDP are allowed to drive in Congo. Even though an IDP contains information present on your local driver's license, it does not replace them, and you cannot use an IDP to carry out transactions in the country because it only acts as a translation of your local driver's license.
When driving in Congo territory, you must bring your International Driver's Permit, as Congo authorities often set up checkpoints in different cities of the country.
Tourists who have reached the age of 18 and already have a driver's license for at least six months before applying can apply for an International Driver's Permit.
