Cyprus entry policy for French people
Cyprus welcomes French citizens without a visa. You’re free to visit, relax, study, or work – short stays or long-term, it’s all allowed.
How long are French citizens allowed to stay in Cyprus?
There’s no specific limit. French people can come to Cyprus and stay without worrying about visa duration — short-term or long-term stays are all fine.
What papers should French people have when entering Cyprus?
Even though you don’t need a visa, make sure you have:
- A passport or EU ID that’s valid;
- Accommodation proof (hotel booking or private invitation);
- Return ticket or money for it;
- Insurance that covers health emergencies.
Is medical insurance important for French citizens traveling to Cyprus?
Yes. While it’s not mandatory, it’s wise to have one. Travel insurance helps cover emergencies, and Visit World can help you find the best plan in minutes.
