Citizens of countries that do NOT require a visa to enter Eswatini, can stay in the country for up to 30 days. Please keep in mind that although no visa is required, you must:

have a passport valid for at least six months after the date of departure from the country and with two clean pages for a visa
have documents confirming the availability of round-trip plane tickets
have all the documents required for your next destination
have documents confirming the purpose of the trip (for example, a business cover letter or letter of support, registration at a conference, etc.)
Proof of sufficient funds according to the estimated length of stay (When on holiday in Swaziland, you should plan to spend around 1,911 SZL (119 USD) per day, which is the average daily price based on the expenses of other visitors. A trip to Swaziland for two people a week costs an average of 26 761 SZL (1672 USD)
It is recommended to check with your airline whether boarding will be allowed without a visa.

Visitors wishing to stay in the country for more than 30 days must apply for a temporary residence permit at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Mbabane at P.O. BOX 372, Mbabane, Tel: +268 2404 2941/2.

Visas can also be obtained at all Eswatini representative offices abroad except in New York, Taipei, and Johannesburg.

Countries whose citizens need a visa before traveling must apply for a visa through the High Commission or apply to a representative office in a neighboring country. Tourist or travel visas allow you to enter Eswatini only for tourist and recreational purposes and to stay in the country for a predetermined time. These visas do not give the right to work or engage in any business activity in Eswatini.

For the High Commission to facilitate the issuance of a visa to visit Eswatini, the following information is required:

Original passport of the applicant;
Passport valid for at least 30 days after the expiration of the intended stay and contains at least one blank page for stamping marks;
Visa application form (two copies);
Two (2) passport-sized color photographs;
Return ticket (electronic);
Letter of invitation from the relevant authorities (for business trips);
Proof of stay and financial situation;

Visa fees are as follows:

Single-entry visa (3 months): 83.00 Rupees – 30.00 USD

Multiple-entry (3 months): 314.00 Rupees – 100.00 USD
Multiple-entry (6 months): 733,00 Rupees – 300.00 USD
Multiple-entry (9 months): 1051,00 Rupees – 330.00 USD
Multiple-entry (12 months): 1365.00 Rupees – 430.00 USD.

Please note that the visa application period is TEN (10) working days, and applicants are advised to contact the High Commission by phone: + 60 3 2163 2511 within FIVE (5) working days to check the status of the application.

When applying for a visa abroad, please include money for courier expenses.

Eswatini does not quarantine cats and dogs that meet the following requirements. All requirements also apply to service animals and emotional support animals.
In Eswatini, your animal doesn't need to be identified using a microchip, but it is recommended to chip it and register contact information before the trip as a means of identification if your animal is lost or is separated from you.
Your animal must be vaccinated against rabies in the period from 30 days to 12 months before entering the country. All other cat and dog vaccinations must be made between 30 days and 12 months from the date of arrival in the country.
A rabies test is not required to enter Eswatini from any country.
A veterinary health certificate in Eswatini must be completed by a licensed veterinarian in the country of origin within 10 days of arrival. Although not required, we recommend that a veterinarian accredited by the USDA or CFIA fill out the form and you have certified it at the USDA or CFIA if you are traveling from the United States or Canada. If you are traveling to Eswatini from another country, the application forms must be certified by the governing body of your country responsible for the import and export of animals.
An import application submitted to the director of veterinary service is required to enter Eswatini unless your dog or cat is entering from the following SADC member countries: Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, or Zimbabwe.
Visitors should apply in advance for permission to import the animal into Eswatini. The agent can facilitate the application process. After receiving the completed import application form, a veterinary import permit will be issued, which will be sent directly to you.
The permit is valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
Treatment for ticks and tapeworms is not required before entering Eswatini but is recommended due to the availability of these drugs in the country.
Pets must enter Eswatini through King Mswati III International Airport. Pets can be carried in the cabin, as checked baggage or air cargo.
Upon arrival in Eswatini, you will present the documents, and the veterinary officer located at the port of entry will put a stamp on them.
When traveling to a foreign country such as Eswatini, it is always recommended to have with you documents confirming the ownership of the animal.
All domestic dogs and cats should be free from signs of disease transmitted to humans when inspected at the airport of entry. If your dog or cat is clearly unhealthy, you may need an additional examination from a licensed veterinarian at your expense.
