Ghana Student Permit
To obtain a Ghanaian visa, a future student must have:
- An offer letter or letter of enrollment from a recognized and accredited educational institution, indicating the dates of admission.
- A valid travel document or passport. It must be valid for at least 6 months.
- Proof of payment or exemption from payment of fees required for the study or course.
- Proof of residence guarantee.
- A completely filled application form, which must be in two copies. The application must fully state the country of origin, date of arrival and length of stay in Ghana, purpose of entry, address where the prospective student will reside, telephone number and email address.
- Two passport-size photos taken no more than 6 months before the application.
- A photocopy of the travel itinerary
- Bank statement for three months.
- Yellow Fever Vaccination – All prospective students must have a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate. This complies with international sanitary standards. Students will not receive a visa if they have not been vaccinated against yellow fever.
- Minors and children under the age of 18 must have their parents' permission, their parents' passports and a residence permit.
Getting a visa to Ghana does not require much effort and generally takes 7 working days from the time of application, and is usually valid for 14 days. The cost of a visa to Ghana can be up to 150 USD per person.
A Ghanaian student permit allows a student to stay in Ghana and continue their studies for an extended period.
