Preparatory programs for applicants in Greece
Citizens of the European Union do not need a student visa to Greece. However, a student visa is required for citizens whose country is not a member of the EU. To obtain a student visa to Greece, you will need an official letter of acceptance from your chosen institution of study in Greece, which must be an institution certified by the Greek Ministry of Education.

What documents are required to obtain a student Schengen visa?
Mandatory documents for applying for a student Schengen visa are:

Two identical photos. Taken within the last three months in accordance with Schengen visa requirements for a photo:

A valid passport issued within the last 10 years with a validity period of at least 3 months after the end of the planned trip.
Copy of passport biometric data.
Previous passports.
Certificate of residence. Some document issued by the country from which you are applying as proof that you are a citizen or resident of that country.

Tourist medical insurance. A document issued by your European health insurance company confirming that you have insurance for the entire Schengen area for the duration of your stay with 30,000 euros emergency coverage. More detailed information about insurance here:

Proof of residence. Evidence of where you will be staying during your stay in the Schengen area. It can be one of the following: Dormitory contract, Lease agreement, Invitation letter. Read more about the invitation letter here:

Letter of acceptance to an EU university/college/school. A recent, official and signed letter stating your name/type of study/length of study/part of the European program, if applicable/number of hours per week.
Confirmation of academic qualifications. Diploma, academic certificate, attestation of equivalency application or equivalency decision/submission.
Proof of financial capabilities. Documents confirming that a person can live independently and support himself financially during his stay in the Schengen area. Confirmation of visa fee payment.
What additional documents are required for minors?
Extract from the minor's birth certificate.
An identity document with a parent's signature (one document for each parent).
Statement of consent of both parents that the minor can travel.
If necessary: a court decision on which of the parents is entrusted with parental responsibility for the minor.
If applicable: a declaration from the minor's school about the consent of his/her absence.
What class certificates should be provided?

How long does it take to get a Schengen student visa?
The legal term for issuing a student Schengen visa is 15 calendar days. In some cases, you may receive a response within an even shorter period. However, in extreme cases, this term can also be extended from 30 to 60 days.
EU/EEA students are usually not charged any tuition fees at public universities in Greece; the exception is only a few master's programs. All other international students will have to pay tuition fees of between 1,500 and 9,000 euros per year, which also includes textbooks for selected courses.
Foreign students can be included in the special categories of candidates who can be admitted to higher education in Greece, provided that neither the candidates themselves nor their parents have Greek citizenship or nationality.

Certificate of Greek language for all bachelors. Greek universities require all undergraduate students to know Greek. If you are admitted to the bachelor's program and you do not know Greek, you will have to take a one-year preparatory course.
Requirements for admission to a master's degree in Greece
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
2-4 years of work experience (only applies to MBA programs).
The MBA is the original degree offered by business schools around the world.
English language certificate (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic, C1 Advanced) with a minimum score of B or 7 on a scale of 1.0 to 9.0.
GMAT scores of at least 500 (applies mainly to MBAs).
An average score of at least 7.5 on a scale from 1 to 10
Can you combine studying and working in Greece?
In Greece, a student can work up to 20 hours during their studies and up to 40 hours a week during the holidays.
Is it possible to get a scholarship for studies?
Greece offers some really high-paying scholarships for both local and international students.
There are no special preparatory programs for foreign students. You can enter university without even knowing Greek. After enrolling in the course, students have one year to learn the language. The course usually takes place at the universities themselves. But there are only two universities licensed to conduct the Greek language exam: the National University of Kapodistria of Athens and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The average cost of a language course is 858 USD/year. After completing the language program, the student must take a paid exam (73-84 USD). Having confirmed the B2 level, they have the right to start studying at the university from the next semester.
