If you aren’t a citizen of the ECOWAS country, you will need a visa to work in Guinea. It is recommended that you look for a job before applying, as your new employer can usually sponsor your application.

    A long-term visa (VLS) is required to do business/work in Guinea.

    Like other visas in Guinea, this visa is electronic. You need to apply for an electronic visa (eVisa) on the official visa website of the Republic of Guinea https://www.paf.gov.gn/visa by selecting your country and visa type – Long-Term Visa (VLS).

    Conditions for obtaining a long-term visa for Guinea:

• passport valid for at least 6 months
• a scanned copy of the page with the data of a valid passport
• scanned copy of the previous visa (Prorogation Visa)
• valid return ticket
• yellow fever vaccination certificate
• an insurance policy that guarantees repatriation.
• I. an employment contract which is duly approved by the authorities for foreign nationals who are wishing to work for hire in Guinea.
• ii. or a permit to engage in a free profession or promote agricultural, industrial, commercial, artistic or other activities issued by the competent authorities, if such permission is required.

    Long-term visa validity period: 1 year from the date of issue.

    The approval process for eVISA, the documents required upon arrival at Guinea checkpoints are the same as for other types of eVISA (given in the general rules of entry to Guinea).

    A long-term visa is issued to a foreigner only after they have received an entry visa and have lived in Guinea for 90 days.
