The health care system in Israel is now considered one of the most effective health systems in the world.
A wide network of preventive, rehabilitation and other medical services provided in well-equipped medical centers allows us to provide full and effective medical care to the population of the country, as well as tourists traveling to Israel for treatment.
Another important advantage of treatment in Israel is its accessibility. Treatment in Israel for foreign citizens is 2-3 times cheaper than in the United States, and 30-50% cheaper than tourists who are required to pay for such treatment in Germany, Switzerland, France or Austria.

If you want to travel to Israel for medical treatment, you must apply for health insurance for the entire period of your stay in the country with a minimum coverage of 35,000 euros (40,000 dollar USA).
The health insurance policy must cover any expenses that may arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical intervention, treatment in a medical facility, or death while staying in Israel.
Advantages of private health insurance in Israel:
- Reduced waiting time;
- This covers most of your potential expenses;
- You will receive the highest possible level of care;
- Medical equipment is more modern;
- Fewer unexpected personal expenses mean you can plan your medical care in advance;
- Employees are more likely to speak English;
- Documents are also likely to be issued in English.
—
If you are a citizen of a country that has a visa-free regime with Israel, you don’t need a visa to enter for medical treatment. Issuance of visas for the purpose of treatment is not provided. If you are a citizen of a country that requires a visa to Israel, you should apply for a regular visa.

In order to come to Israel for medical treatment, you must present the following documents at the border:
- valid passport;
- hotel reservations or hospital confirmation at the clinic;
- invitation from the clinic;
- tickets with an exact date (the date should not be open);
- proof of solvency: cash with you and bank card;
- health insurance.
If the patient is accompanied by a person for treatment?
The entry rules for the accompanying person comply with the patient's rules. The invitation from the clinic must contain information about the accompanying person.
To accommodate an accompanying person, you must either book a hotel near the clinic or a place in the patient's room. In Israeli clinics, it is possible to accommodate relatives in the patient's room on a separate bed.
Persons born in Israel are granted citizenship at birth if at least one of the parents is an Israeli citizen. Adopted children automatically receive citizenship, regardless of their religious status. Stateless persons born in Israel between the ages of 18 and 21 are eligible for Israeli citizenship, provided that they have permanently resided in the country for five years immediately preceding the application.
