A visa for treatment (C12) is issued to people traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan for treatment, medical examination or consultations, as well as accompanying people; people staying in the Republic of Kazakhstan, if there is a need for their treatment, as well as accompanying persons, persons traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan for the purpose of caring for close relatives – citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, or foreigners permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and being treated in medical institutions, persons staying in the Republic of Kazakhstan in case of the need to care for close relatives – citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, or foreigners permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, being treated in medical institutions. Single-entry and multiple-entry visas are issued for up to 180 days 

To whom and on what grounds a visa for treatment is issued

Visas for treatment are issued:

• foreigners traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan for treatment, medical examination and consultations - if they have visa support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, issued on the basis of written requests from medical institutions registered with the justice authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan or the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• foreigners who are in the Republic of Kazakhstan, if there is a need for their treatment in inpatient conditions, - on the basis of written requests from individuals and legal entities, in the presence of documents issued by medical institutions confirming the need for such treatment;
• foreigners accompanying the above-mentioned persons - on the basis of written requests from the subjects of healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan or the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
