REQUIREMENTS: 

1. Visa Application. 

2. Valid passport and copy of the main page. 

3. One color picture, passport size, front view, with no eyeglasses and white background. 

4. Original and copy of the document that proves that the applicant is a foreign legal resident of the USA (I-797, I-20 advance parole, etc). This only applies for non-U.S. citizens. 

5. Application processing fee $48.00 dollars (credit or debit card – visa or mastercard). Non refundable if not approved. 

6. Immigration fee $279.00 dollars (cash, credit or debit card – visa or mastercard). 

Applies only for the visa “Visitante con permiso para realizar actividades remuneradas”. 

7. Copy of the approval letter issued by the “Instituto Nacional de Migracion (INM)” where the “Número Único de Tramite (NUT )” is indicated. 

AFTER ENTERING MEXICO WITH THIS KIND OF VISA, YOU SHOULD GO TO THE NEAREST “INSTITUTO NACIONAL DE MIGRACIÓN” (INM) OFFICE TO GET YOUR RESIDENT ID.

NON ORDINARY VISA (DIPLOMATIC/OFFICIAL/SERVICE) 

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Visa Application.

3. One color picture, passport size, front view, with no eyeglasses and white background (adhered to the square on the upper left corner of the application). 

4. Original verbal or diplomatic note that must contain the following information in order to determine the kind of visa to be received: 

· Whole name of the traveler (as shown in the passport). 

· Kind and passport number.

· Position or rank at the Embassy, International Organization, etc. 

· Reason of trip. 

· Dates of trip. 

PROCEDURE: 

To set up an effective control of your petitions, it will be necessary to receive one electronic mail per individual or family (scanned on color and high resolution). Please include in the electronic mail whole name, title and direct phone number of the person responsible of sending the application of visas. 

As soon the visas are ready, an electronic mail will be sent to let you know the date when the original verbal/diplomatic note and a copy of it, original applications, pictures and original passports are needed to finalize the process. 

The schedule to receive passports will be 9:00 am to 10:00 am, from Monday through Friday, and the visas will be handed over to your courier the same day between 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm. 

Some FAQs about Mexican Working visa

Can I come to Mexico on a work visa and start working right away?  

Not exactly. A work visa is only needed to enter Mexico. Upon arrival, you need to contact the migration service and obtain a temporary residence permit. The right to work gives a residence permit, not a work visa.

Is it true that getting a work visa is easy?

 Relatively. To obtain a work visa, you must have an invitation from a Mexican worker. Getting it is easier than going to a Mexican university, having relatives in Mexico, marrying a citizen or resident of Mexico, having a child in Mexico, buying a house, or having a vacation. These reasons also give the right to obtain a residence permit in Mexico, but finding a worker is more likely and less expensive.

How to get a work visa?

 In short, then first you need to find a Mexican worker who will invite you to work. The worker applies to the National Institute of Migration of Mexico to obtain permission to accept a foreigner to work. Having obtained permission, the worker sends it to the future worker. The worker applies to any government of Mexico without reference to his citizenship, conducts a conversation and obtains a work visa. Within 180 days, the worker must enter Mexico and within 30 days after entry, exchange the work visa for a temporary residence permit for a job offer. The issuance of a residence permit takes 2-3 weeks.

Only after this, the worker can start work.

The most difficult thing is to get a permit from the migrant service at the reception for the work of the foreigner. That is why many travelers do not want to bother with this, and the process of obtaining such a solution can be delayed for months.

How long can you stay in Mexico on a work visa?
