Treatment in Moldova for Tajikistan citizenship

Foreigners from countries with a visa-free regime can enter Moldova for medical treatment without additional visa processing, provided that their stay does not exceed 90 days. If a foreigner goes to Moldova for long-term treatment (more than three months), they should apply for a national visa.

Foreigners traveling to Moldova under the visa regime must apply for a national visa for medical treatment abroad.

For long-term treatment, foreigners need to apply for a long-term visa (type D/TR). This visa is granted to foreigners who are undergoing long-term treatment in a medical institution, sanatorium-resort or rehabilitation treatment.

Required documents:

• an application form;

• 1 color photo with the size 3x4;

• invitation issued by the competent aliens Authority (Bureau for Migration and refugees);

• a certificate of non-criminal record from the country of origin with translation into the state language, except for minors under the age of 16;

• the confirmation of the availability of financial resources for accommodation and medical treatment;

• the confirmation of the availability of health insurance on the territory of the Republic of Moldova for the entire period of visa validity (minimum coverage must be 30,000 euros);

• the consular commission is 40 euros.

Please note that when crossing the border, border guards may request an invitation from the clinic or medical institution where you will be treated. An invitation (certificate) from a medical institution should be obtained before crossing the border.
