Nauru Airlines emphasizes the necessary documents you must have to travel to Nauru:
- Itinerary / Reservations and tickets
- Valid foreign passport (minimum 6 months)
- Valid visa to Nauru (if required)
Visitors to Nauru must obtain a visa prior to entering Nauru unless they are from one of the countries that are eligible for a visa on arrival or do not require a visa. All visitors must have a passport valid for at least 3 months after their departure date from Nauru.
Visa applications are submitted by email to the Nauru Immigration Service.
The visa-free regime currently applies only to the United Arab Emirates. Nauru's tourist visa is not required for citizens of the United Arab Emirates for stays of up to 30 days.

Visa on arrival can be obtained by citizens of the following 15 countries: Cook Islands, Fiji, Israel, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Russian Federation, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Taiwan, Thailand, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu

Visa requirements for Nauru
A Nauru visitor visa is valid for a maximum of 90 days. The main part of the visa application procedure for Nauru is the collection and submission of the required documents.
To apply for a visa to Nauru, an applicant must collect and submit the following documents:
- Completed application form for a visa to Nauru
- A copy of your passport valid for at least another three months after your planned stay in Nauru.
- A recent passport photo with a white background.
- Hotel reservation or sponsorship from a Nauru resident.
- Copies of your bookings for flights to and from Nauru, as well as any other Pacific islands you visit.
- Certificate of no criminal record.
- Medical certificate.
- Letter of invitation from a citizen of Nauru (for Australian and New Zealand passports only).
- An international yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if you arrive from an infected area within 5 days.
Visa application process for Nauru
Unlike most of the world's immigration authorities, which want applicants to apply in person at a consulate/embassy with an interview, you need to send them the original documents by email, all scanned in color.
Visa applications are submitted by email to the Nauru Immigration Service with the required information and scanned documents to the following email address: visa@naurugov.nr, or by email to the Director of Immigration, Mr. Rajiv Kirtill at rajeev.keerthiyil@naurugov.nr or rajeevnauruimmigration@gmail.com. Parents must sign the application for their minor child. Visa processing can take about a month.
Once your visa is approved, the Nauru Department of Justice and Border Control will email you a copy of your visa certificate, which is sufficient to enter the country. Print this copy and have it with you when you travel to Nauru.
