How do I travel to Palau?
You can travel to Palau by plane. There is only one airport in Palau - Airai (ROR), on the island of Babeldaob. There are flights to Palau from the following countries:
- Guam
- Japan
- Manila
- Seoul
- Taipei
All visitors arriving in the Republic of Palau must have a valid passport (at least 6 months old) and proof of return to their country of residence.
Citizens of the following countries can enter Palau without a visa:

Visa on arrival
Citizens of any country except Myanmar and Bangladesh can obtain a visa upon arrival. The visa is valid for a maximum stay of 30 days, but can be extended twice for a fee. To obtain a visa upon arrival, visitors must have proof of sufficient funds (USD 200 per week).
You will need to provide official documents regarding your citizenship, country of residence, purpose of visit and duration of visit;
The list of required documents for Visa on arrival:
- Original passport that will be valid for at least 6 months at the time of your departure from Palau.
- You will have to pay 100 USD as an environmental fee if you visit Palau. This amount will most likely be deducted by the international airline you are traveling with. It will be used to preserve Palau's heritage and environment.
- Proof of vaccination against cholera and yellow fever.
- Confirmation of availability of round-trip tickets to and from Palau.
- Confirmation of your accommodation, hotel reservation, or an invitation letter from your place of residence. The dates of these documents must match the dates on your airline tickets to ensure that there are no discrepancies in your visa application.
Visa upon arrival in Palau
Prior visas are required for citizens of the following countries: Bangladesh, Myanmar.
The application process is different for Bangladeshi and Myanmar nationals, as they must apply for a visa before they arrive in Palau from their country of residence. Citizens of these two countries should contact the Palauan diplomatic mission in their home country, other representative offices, or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
