Foreign citizens entering Panama will be able to apply for a short-term stay visa in Panama for treatment, confirming that they will be receiving treatment in hospitals and public or private clinics for a period not exceeding nine months.
Application for a short-term visa
Medical certificate from the country of residence, certifying the illness or disease, signed and with the doctor's seal, names, code and registration number
A letter from a hospital or clinic in Panama confirming that the applicant will be hospitalized or inpatient or receiving outpatient treatment, including the name of the treating physician, the illness and the duration of the treatment with an approximate cost
Confirmation of the financial capability of the applicant, a family member, or a person accompanying the applicant
Payment of migration services costs in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100) to the National Immigration Service
A copy of the applicant's passport with at least 3 months remaining before its expiration
A copy of a flight reservation with a flight to another country
A copy of the national identity card or other photo ID issued in the applicant's country of residence
3 passport-sized photos of the applicant
A copy of the confirmed hotel reservation (if available).
