Green Card

The principle of operation of the Green Card is similar to CTP insurance, only abroad. In the event of an accident, the culprit's Green Card insurance policy will cover the damage caused by his fault to other participants in the accident - the cost of treatment or repair of the victim's car. 

You will need: a technical passport with data on the car, a document for driver identification (passport of a foreigner or citizen of Ukraine, ID card, driver's license) and an individual tax number.

No, the Green Card can only be issued for a car with Ukrainian license plates.

Drivers who have a Green Card insurance policy are exempt from the obligation to conclude a national insurance contract at the border of the countries participating in the Green Card system. The policy is valid in Ukraine and the EU, as well as in Africa and Asia. The Green Card issued in Ukraine does not cover the territory of Russia and Belarus.

Algorithm of actions to cover losses by the insurance company:

- Record the scene of the accident using photos or videos (it is important not to change the location of the vehicles before the police arrive).

- Call the police.

- Get a police report on the circumstances of the accident.

- If you are the culprit of the accident, you give a copy of the insurance certificate to the other party to the accident (the victim).

- Notify your insurance company of the accident within fifteen days.
