Visitors to Saint Lucia must obtain a visa unless they are arriving from one of the visa-exempt or visa-on-arrival countries.
Cruise ship passengers visiting St. Lucia for one day are exempt from visa requirements.
On 28 May 2015, Saint Lucia signed a reciprocal visa waiver agreement with the European Union, which became valid immediately on a provisional basis and was ratified on 15 December 2015. This agreement allows all citizens of countries that are parties to the Schengen Agreement to stay without a visa for a maximum of 90 days in any 180-day period.
Citizens of OECS countries and France can enter with a national identity card (ID card) instead of a passport.

Visa on arrival
Citizens of the following 50 countries and territories can obtain a 6-week visa on arrival:

Citizens of these countries can also apply for an eVisa if they want to avoid long queues at the airport.
eVisa
To apply for an eVisa, eligible travelers must complete a simple online form. They need to provide all the information that will need to be filled in the form (passport details, contact details). Travelers must pay the online fee and provide a valid email ID as the visa will be sent to them by post. The length of a traveler's stay depends on whether the person is applying for a single-entry or multiple-entry visa.
Visa at the embassy/consulate
Travelers from more than 35 countries will be refused entry to Saint Lucia unless they obtain a consular or ambassador visa from the Embassy of Saint Lucia or any diplomatic mission of Saint Lucia prior to arrival as required by the legislate. It is necessary to make an appointment, as well as to fill out a questionnaire with various documents that are attached to it.
Citizens of some of these countries – Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nigeria and Sri Lanka – must apply before arriving in Saint Lucia.
To obtain a visa on arrival, an application must be submitted to an immigration office or Saint Lucian mission abroad at least two weeks before the expected date of travel, and processing takes approximately five to seven working days.
Non-Immigrant Visa: Visitor Visa
Description: Foreign nationals from certain countries who intend to visit Saint Lucia for business, leisure or study must present a valid passport from their country and obtain a valid Saint Lucia visa.

There are two types of visas. The first is a one-entry Visitor Visa, the second is multiple-entry.
A person who receives a single-entry visitor visa can stay in the country for 3 months for any purpose, such as tourism or business. They will be granted a single entry into the country in accordance with Saint Lucia's visa policy. A person with a multiple-entry visitor visas can stay in Saint Lucia for 1 year. They can visit the country several times for any purpose. The cost is 46 American dollars (125 XCD) for a single entry visa (within a 3-month period) or 70 American dollars (190 XCD) for multiple entries within one year.
Cats and dogs are subject to special rules and can only be imported as luggage through George Florida Charles Airport or Hewanorra International Airport. Pets must be electronically identified if they have been microchipped. A veterinary health certificate issued by the veterinary authority of the exporting country is required. An import permit must be obtained in advance from the State Veterinary and Livestock Department in Saint Lucia.

Microchip for pets
Saint Lucia requires that your animal is first identified with a 15-digit microchip compliant with ISO 11784/11785.
Vaccination
Your pet must have proof of a current rabies vaccination that was given at least 30 days but no more than 12 months prior to importation. Within 14 days of entering Saint Lucia, your pet must be vaccinated against the following diseases:
Dogs: distemper, leptospirosis, hepatitis/adenovirus, parainfluenza and parvovirus.
Cats: Feline leukemia, feline rhinotracheitis, feline calicivirus, feline panleukopenia, and feline pneumonitis. Pets from areas infected with Lyme must have tested negative for the disease.
Rabies titer test
When entering Saint Lucia, a rabies titer test is required: no earlier than one month after vaccination against rabies. The blood sample must be processed in an approved laboratory. The results must be sent directly to the veterinary service before applying for import.
Countries exempt from rabies testing: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Turks and Caicos Islands, Australia, Fiji, French Polynesia (Tahiti), Hawaii, Hong Kong, Iceland, Japan, Malaysia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, Singapore, Saint Helena, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man), Uruguay and the Vatican.
Health certificate
A USDA (or CFIA) accredited veterinarian must complete a veterinary medical certificate for St. Lucia for USDA or CFIA approval if traveling from the United States or Canada. If you are not traveling from one of these countries, your country's governing body responsible for importing and exporting live animals must approve the forms.
Import permit
You must obtain an import permit from a veterinary authority at least 2 weeks in advance if you are bringing a pet cat or dog into Saint Lucia.
Entry into Saint Lucia by plane
Pets must enter St. Lucia through George Florida Charles Airport or Hewanorra International Airport. Your cat or dog must be transported directly to Saint Lucia and must not come into contact with other cats/dogs on the flight, except for those for which a similar permit has been issued. Advance notice of arrival must be provided to the veterinary and animal husbandry service at the point of entry of your pet. Whenever you travel to a foreign country like St. Lucia, it is always a good idea to carry some form of identification that indicates ownership of your pet. All pet dogs and cats must be free of any disease that can infect humans. If your dog or cat is in poor health, further examination by a licensed veterinarian may be required at your expense.
Puppies and kittens
Puppies and kittens under the age of 3 months that do not meet the regulations are not allowed to enter St. Lucia.
