To acquire a Work Permit for St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the following procedures must be followed: 

Complete Work Permit Application Form (in duplicate) along with the following and Return Application Form to the Office of the Prime Minister (Work Permit Department):  

- Letter from employer  

- Proof that the position applied for has been advertised  

- Two passport sized photographs (certified)  

- Police Certificate of Character/Criminal Record database search from the country where the applicant has most recently resided for a period in excess of six months  

- Medical Certificate (Doctor’s Report of health)  

- Copy of passport(s) - personal information page/bio data page(s)  

- A contact telephone is required  

- Birth and/or marriage certificates, including decree absolute required, where applicable  

- Pay an application fee of EC$200.00 (non-refundable) 

The documents will be sent to Cabinet for approval (see list of fees below upon acceptance): 

- As of August 1, 2011 under the OECS Treaty, OECS Nationals are not required to submit work and residence applications* 

- A work permit ONLY is issued on a one-time basis for not more than six months. Applicants requesting more than six months for a work permit are required to additionally submit amonths. Applicants requesting more than six months for a work permit are required to additionally submit an application for a residence permit.

For a period up to 30 days EC$700.00

Replacement fee for all categories of permits and certificates EC$100.00
