Turkey has become an increasingly popular destination for UK citizens seeking job opportunities and investment prospects. The country's growing economy, strategic location, and business-friendly environment have made it an attractive destination for those looking to work or invest abroad.
- One of the main reasons for the popularity of working in Turkey is the country's growing economy. Turkey is one of the fastest-growing economies in Europe and the Middle East, with a GDP that has been steadily increasing over the past decade. This has led to the creation of many new job opportunities in various fields, including technology, finance, and manufacturing.
- Another factor contributing to the popularity of working in Turkey is the country's strategic location. Turkey is located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, making it a gateway to both continents. This has led to the development of various industries, including logistics and transportation, which require skilled workers.
- In addition to job opportunities, Turkey is also an attractive destination for investment. The country has a favorable investment climate, with a range of incentives and tax breaks for foreign investors. Turkey's growing economy, strategic location, and young population make it an attractive market for various sectors, including real estate, tourism, and technology.
Furthermore, the Turkish government has implemented various measures to attract foreign investment, including the establishment of free trade zones, the simplification of investment procedures, and the provision of investment incentives. These initiatives have led to an increasing number of UK citizens investing in Turkey, particularly in the real estate sector.
Citizens from the United Kingdom need a work visa and work permit to be able to work in Turkey.

A refugee can apply for a work permit six months after the date of submission of the application for national protection. There is no need to submit another application for a Turkish work permit to the Ministry of Labor of the Republic of Turkey.
The identity card must be valid for at least 30 days after submitting the documents. Foreigners who meet these requirements and enjoy international protection must sign an employment contract with their employer. The employer registers an account at https://www.turkiye.gov.tr/ and enters information about the foreigner under international protection and uploads the necessary documents. If the permit is confirmed as a result of an online or written application, a work permit fee is charged.
