Tips for Ukrainian citizens for traveling to Morocco
- Morocco is a conservative country, and even in hot weather, it is better to wear light but closed clothing. This is not only about respecting the culture, but also protection from the sun and dust.
- Although bank cards are accepted in major cities, cash is required in bazaars, small shops, and taxis. Dirhams can be exchanged only in the country.
- In the medinas, there are often “closed roads” or people who claim that the passage is closed and offer “help”. This is a common trick, so calmly go on, checking the road on the map.
- Strong aromas are very popular in Morocco, from spices to perfumes in the markets. If you are sensitive to odors, bring a mask or scarf to protect your nose in crowded places. Always bargain at the markets - it's part of the culture. The price can be reduced by half or even more.
- In Morocco, sockets of type C and E are used. The voltage is 220V.
Transit visa
A transit visa allows a foreigner traveling to a third country to cross the territory of Morocco. This visa can be issued for one or two transits, with the duration of each transit not exceeding 72 hours.
- Fire and rescue services: Call 15.
- Emergency medical assistance: Call 15.
- Police: Call 19.
