Do you need a visa to study in Austria
So, in most cases, a visa is required to study in Austria. However, there are a few exceptions.

You will be exempt from your student visa to Austria if:
- You are an EU/EEA resident or a student residing in any country in the Schengen area.
- You are from any country that has a visa agreement with Austria.

What are the student visas to Austria?

Requirements for a student visa to Austria

- Visa application form. You must print out the visa application form and fill it out. Make sure that it contains all the correct information and is signed.

- For a couple (both): 1578.36 euro / month

- The confirmation of admission. You must provide a confirmation letter from the Austrian university you applied to confirming your student status.
- The confirmation of paid tuition fees. You must provide a copy of the receipt/bank statement for payment of your university contribution.
- University documents from your previous universities (if any). If you attended a previous university, you must also provide a copy of these records.

If you find a job within these 6 months, you can apply for a red-white-red card that allows you to stay and work in Austria for two years.
