When applying for a visa for medical treatment in Austria, you must provide the following additional documents:

• The local medical certificate. Issued by a doctor/clinic / hospital in your country which is confirmed that you need treatment in Austria. A medical certificate from a hospital or doctor in Austria confirming the date of your appointment, as well as your medical situation.
• A receipt for payment of medical fees.
• The official confirmation of treatment/appointment at the host medical facility (Hospital/Clinic) in Austria.
• The confirmation that you have sufficient financial resources to pay for medical expenses and other related expenses during the entire treatment period.
