Work in Mozambique for Moldova citizenship

A work visa is issued to foreign citizens coming to Mozambique with the goal of employment with or without remuneration. Visa is issued for a one-time entry and stay in the country for thirty (30) days, with the possibility of extension to sixty (60) days. However, if the employment contract lasts longer than 60 days, the foreigner has to apply for a Temporary Residence Permit to Immigration Service of Mozambique. This visa is also suitable for entrepreneurs willing to reside in the Republic of Mozambique. The required documents:

PASSPORT OR A SIMILAR DOCUMENT

The document has to be valid for not less than six (6) months/180 (one hundred eighty) days.

SUPPORT MEANS

Proof of sufficient funds during the applicant's stay in Mozambique.

A RECENT PHOTOGRAPH 

Applicants need to provide one recent photograph of passport size.

CERTIFICATE OF ABSENCE OF CONVICTION

Certificate of no criminal record valid for no more than ninety days, issued by the competent authority of the country of origin or country of residence for the last 2 years.

A criminal record should be translated in Portuguese by a sworn translator, legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the applicant’s country of origin and certified by the Mozambique Embassy. The assurance fee is € 35.

SUPPORTING DOCUMENT

A supporting document authorizing the applicant to pursue the profession in Mozambique and an employment permit if the applicant wishes to pursue an independent profession.

MEDICAL CERTIFICATE

PERMISSION OF THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE

Permission from the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Mozambique and refusal of the organization to which the applicant belongs, if the applicant intends to develop activities related to a religious organization.

INVESTMENT DOCUMENT

Investment document and/or employment permit signed by the competent authority if the applicant is an entrepreneur.

EMPLOYMENT PERMIT

Employment permit issued by the Ministry of Labor, if the applicant will work with or without remuneration;

EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT

Employment contract signed by the competent authorities in case of employment by other individuals.

VISA FEES

Applicants must attach to the application proof of payment of the visa fee.

ENTRY APPLICATION FORM

The form entitled "APPLICATION FOR ENTRY IN MOSAMBIQUE" must be properly completed and signed by the applicant. The form may be completed only in English, Portuguese or French, in capital letters and in black or blue ink. Abbreviations and acronyms are not allowed.
