Work visa

A business visa is a document that gives a foreigner permission to visit Peru to conduct business. Citizens of some countries do not need this type of visa. The list is here. Remember that the execution of the process does not guarantee obtaining a visa, as the application is considered by the Consul of Peru.

Requirements:

Application form
Valid passport.
A copy of the round-trip ticket to Peru (ticket, e-ticket, or booking).
A letter from the company stating the purpose of the visit, its duration, and the availability of sufficient financial support to cover all expenses during your stay in Peru.
Confirmation of the solvency of your company.
A letter from a Peruvian company when the trip is associated with a specific national partner, stating the reason and duration of the trip, as well as that it has the sufficient financial support to cover its expenses.
Two (2) passport-sized color photos.
Payment of the relevant consular fee.
Please note that a police dossier (police national computer form – Form 3019B) and/or a personal interview with a consular officer may be required.
Businessmen are allowed to stay in Peru for up to 90 days.
Attend a personal interview appointed by the Consulate of Peru (the method of appointment depends on the country where the procedure is carried out).

The process of obtaining a business visa depends on the country in which you are located.

The Peruvian Business Visa is multiple-entry and entitles its holder to enter Peru within, as a rule, 6 or 12 months from the date of issue. The maximum length of stay on a business visa is 180 days within 365 days, but consulates abroad reserve the right to grant visas for a shorter stay. Peruvian business visas cannot be renewed.

Foreigners who have a duly signed and valid employment contract for at least 12 months with a Peruvian company approved by the Peru Ministry of Labor can apply for a resident work visa to the Department of Immigration in Peru.

Work visas for residents must be obtained in Peru. To apply for this type of visa, you need to contact:

Once the visa has been approved by the Peruvian immigration authorities, the resident work visa can be issued by any consulate abroad. You need to tell the immigration authorities at which consulate you will be able to get your visa so that they can send the permit to the Peruvian consulate in that country.

If permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is required before issuing a visa, applicants should contact the consulate to check if a permit has been received.

A copy of the employment contract (with an age not exceeding 30 calendar days) and approved by the labor authority indicating the period equal to or exceeding one year. In addition, if the contract was signed in the country, you must have permission for immigration status or permission to sign documents.
In the case of administrative legal relations under the current employment contract: a simple copy indicating the term of the contract equal to or exceeding one year.
If this does not provide for the conclusion of an employment contract: a simple copy of an administrative decree confirming the employment relationship, with a work period of at least one year, if there was no conclusion of an employment contract.

A person who is already in Peru can request a change in their immigration status to DIGEMIN without leaving the country.

The employment contract must be translated into Spanish.
