Where to go on vacation in 2023: places on the planet worth visiting
Planning a trip? Time magazine has named 50 places on the planet worth visiting in 2023. Find out where to go on vacation from Barcelona to Chile
Time magazine has released its annual list of places to visit in 2023. The list includes both popular tourist destinations and less well-known but promising attractions.
According to the publication, in 2023 the tourism sector will continue to actively recover after the pandemic. However, it is worth noting that the preferences of tourists have changed quite a lot, if earlier most travelers preferred natural landscapes, now they pay more attention to the ecological nature of travel and authenticity. That is, the list includes places that can be visited with minimal impact on the environment. Among the excursions, choose those where you can get a unique local experience: walks or master classes with representatives of the indigenous population in the region of travel and even accommodation in families.
A study by Time magazine also confirmed that from now on travelers are willing to pay significantly more money for a trip than they did before the pandemic.
To create the selection, Time magazine interviewed its international correspondents and contributors, and then the editors conducted their own analysis to find places that offer new and exciting experiences.
As a result, 50 new and well-known places to tourists were added to the list, including Giza and Saqqara in Egypt, where the Great Egyptian Museum finally opened after reconstruction, as well as the new gastronomic capital of France, Dijon, or the flourishing and bright metropolis of Medellin in Colombia.
