Visa-free regime
Visitors to St. Kitts and Nevis must obtain a visa if they are not coming from one of the countries that do not have a visa regime.
Citizens of the following countries and territories https://www.foreign.gov.kn/travel/ can visit St. Kitts and Nevis without a visa.
For the vast majority of countries - for up to 3 months.
Cruise ship passengers can visit St. Kitts and Nevis for up to 24 hours without a visa.
Remember that although you don't need a visa, you should:
1. Have a passport valid for at least six months after the date of departure from the country and one blank page for the visa.
2. Keep confirmation of round-trip ticket reservations.
3. Keep all documents required for the next destination.
4. Keep documents confirming the purpose of the trip.
5. Keep evidence of sufficient funds compared to the planned duration of stay.
Citizens can move freely when traveling to St. Kitts and Nevis: Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Saint Lucia.
This means that they have the right to live and work in the country without a visa on a long-term basis.

All foreign nationals who need a visa to St. Kitts and Nevis can apply for an e-Visa.
eVisa
The country's electronic visa system (eVisa), known as the St. Kitts and Nevis Electronic Entry Visa (EEV), is the most convenient way to apply.
Travelers can avoid a trip to the embassy by filling out an online form from the comfort of their own home. This e-entry visa allows short-term visits for reasons such as tourism, recreation and sports.
Applicants must provide basic personal information, as well as their passport details (passport with a validity period of at least 6 months from the end of the visit to St. Kitts and Nevis), a round-trip ticket, proof of sufficient funds to cover the cost of living, and a contact email address. Several supporting documents must be scanned and uploaded. The approved EEV St. Kitts and Nevis is then sent by email.
Types of EEVs
- A one-time EEV allows visitors to stay up to 30 days.
- The reusable EEV is valid for 90 days and can be used for stays in St. Kitts and Nevis throughout this period.
Visa at the embassy or consulate
As a small Caribbean country, St. Kitts and Nevis does not have a huge number of diplomatic missions. However, it does have embassies, consulates and high commissions in Europe, North America and Asia.
Applying for a visa at the embassy means arriving in person and bringing the necessary supporting documents. Embassy and consular visas for St. Kitts and Nevis usually take longer than EEVs, so it is recommended to apply in advance.
Applying for a visa at the Embassy of Saint Kitts and Nevis
To apply for a visa to Saint Kitts and Nevis at the embassy or consulate of Saint Kitts and Nevis in your country, you must follow these instructions:
- Contact the nearest St. Kitts and Nevis embassy or consulate and make an appointment for a visa. Making an appointment will allow you to complete the application process faster and easier.

Microchip for pets
Your pet must first be microchipped with an Avid or ISO 11784/11785 microchip, which has 15 digits and is not encrypted.Your pet's microchip must be scanned by your veterinarian before administering the rabies vaccine using a microchip scanner.
The microchip number must be recorded in all documentation required for entry into St. Kitts and Nevis.
Vaccinations
Your dog or cat must be vaccinated against rabies after the microchip implantation. The vaccination must be given no earlier than 30 days prior to travel. St. Kitts recognizes the 3-year rabies vaccine.
Pets under 3 months of age should not be vaccinated against rabies.
Within 30 days after traveling, cats must be negative for FELV and FIV.
Rabies titer test
Two rabies tests (FAVN) are required no earlier than 30 days and no more than 12 months after rabies vaccination. The blood sample must be processed in an approved laboratory. The second rabies titer test must be performed no earlier than 30 days after the first titer test and no more than 12 months before travel.
Health certificate
Within 30 days of travel, a government health certificate containing a microchip number and rabies vaccination history must be obtained and approved by the USDA or CFIA if you are traveling from the United States or Canada.If you are traveling from other countries, your country's governing body responsible for importing and exporting live animals must approve the forms.
Import permit
You must submit an import permit to the Chief Veterinary Officer in St. Kitts and Nevis after the second rabies titer test has been performed. The permit must be accompanied by an application, rabies titer test results, and an approved health certificate;
Quarantine
All pets entering St. Kitts and Nevis will be subject to a 30-day domestic quarantine. During this time, dogs must be kept inside the house or in a fenced and secure enclosure.Cats must remain indoors.Monitoring by the veterinary authorities will be carried out.Pets cannot be taken out of the quarantined premises without the permission of the veterinary authorities.Violations will result in the deportation of your pet.
Import of puppies or kittens to St. Kitts and Nevis
Unvaccinated puppies and kittens are not allowed to enter St. Kitts and Nevis. Import requirements include microchipping and rabies vaccination no earlier than 3 months of age.Puppies and kittens must wait at least 30 days after rabies vaccination for the first titer test and 30 days after the first test to have a second test.
Before getting on the road, always ensure that you have your driver’s license, passport, special St. Kitts and Nevis License, car insurance documents, and your international driver’s license.
Always follow the speed limits imposed by authorities to prevent accidents and overspeeding fines. The speed limit in towns and settled areas is 20 mph (32 kph). Meanwhile, the speed limit is 40 mph (64 kph) in rural areas.
Minimum age to drive is 17 years old. Minimum age to rent is 25 years old.
